Happy Saturday to All! I don’t want to step on Andrea’s toes but I was a RN at MD Anderson in. Houston and feel compelled to say this. Please please everyone don’t forget your SPF on the top of your hands. I just had a large piece of skin removed on the top of my hand for squamous cell carcinoma. I have had 4 Basel cell and 3 squamous cell removed, this one on the hand was the largest and worse. I thank Andrea for consistently beating the drum for SPF compliance. Hope everyone has a great sun-safe weekend!

And lips!!! I’m not even competent at high school biology, but I rarely see lip spf mentioned on YouTube. My lips rarely chap but I have extremely dehydrated skin in an intensely arid climate. Ya gotta wear the spf!!

I did laugh actually regarding self-checkouts at Walmart. I am not on Facebook, but someone told me a person posted said they were waiting for their W-2 since they most times are forced to use the self-checkout if there are no cashiers at their checkouts, which is frequent. Cracked me up.

.. you’re a hoot! I love your videos. They are absolutely packed with information. Even your subtle hints and non overstated material is so valuable.
I live on Arizona, so I understand heat. Luckily though, Arizona does not have humidity. Yes I’ve seen nut cases running/jogging at 2:00 pm to 6 pm..the hottest part of the day. Ridiculous! I understand your comment about scorching hot outside and businesses cranking the A/C to the point that one must have some covering (windbreakers, jackets) to keep from shivering. It’s terrible.

Needless to say but everything is completely out of control.
Thank you Dr Dray for helping to positively improve my skin everywhere. One example is I have my CeraVe tub right next to my shower to put on my body while my skin is still wet and then air dry with it on. Seriously, works wonders for my dry skin to really lock in the moisture and decrease the transepidermal water loss with the added ceramides. So gooood.
P.S. The Hiding Place book is a great read. I enjoyed it : )
My Sister Diane Grad. Art student from Rice U in the early 90s and was given the job of being Co Curator of the Houston Museum of fine art.. But she died tragically just before official graduation. Her husband as well. He was a PA (Grad 1st class of PA’s & best bud was PA to two US Presidents) A Dermatologist and Admin of the VA in Houston. Miss them !! God bless!!

I used to buy Lubriderm’s AHA lotion. I haven’t seen it in years but it was a an economical moisturizing and smoothing body moisturizer. It did have a slightly “sour milk” scent but it faded quickly as the moisturizer was absorbed. I do wish the Gold Bond retinol lotion would hit Canada. Most retinol body lotions are prohibitively expensive. Thank you for sharing your favourites. Have a great weekend everyone ❤

Thinking about sun protective clothing, would love to see a spring/summer haul for wide brimmed hats, cool long-sleeved tops, etc!
Hey Dr. Dray, speaking of umbrellas for the sun, I bought a UV Sun Umbrella on Amazon last year for about $19 and it’s the best thing I have purchased in a while. My umbrella is super compact, but opens out to a full size. It’s silver on the outside and black on the inside, though there are plenty of other colors. It does a great job of blocking sun and heat if you’re outdoors with no where to seek cover! (I have vitiligo so I burn like paper, and a sun umbrella in addition to sunscreen and protective clothing means no sunburns for me.)
I actually prefer self check out because I like to bag my own groceries. When a clerk bags my groceries, it drives me nuts. They put glass by glass ! They put anything w/anything to be efficient.
I know what I want w/what so it’s more efficient for me to put groceries away when I get home. I want cold things together. I never put glass together. My dad owned a grocery store. I worked in it w/him. He taught me how to bag groceries the best way.
The ability of some painters blows my mind. Incredible. Thanks for taking us w/you to the museum.
