In my walmart in PA they lock up shaving cream so I don’t bother . I get tired of waiting for someone or looking for someone to come. Ridiculousness
As I’m sure you’re aware the reason they do it is because shoplifting has gotten out of hand so it’s not ridiculous although I’m sure it cuts into sales. Apparently not as much as the losses though.
@@ggjr61but people steal because nobody is monitoring the isles at Walmart! If they would spend more on workers they’d lose less and hopefully it would balance out. Or quit raising prices!
Do online shopping and pickup or have it delivered I agree, it’s so frustrating but shoplifters are to blame

People still steal regardless if there are employees around. I work in retail and most companies tell their employees they can’t say anything to shop lifters, stop them, nor get their license number. Having to lock items up, though inconvenient, cuts down on theft.
I’m pretty sure there’s some stat where the customers they deter with these locked items is losing more than what they lose for theft.

So true with things that are locked up. It turns me off. Also, I don’t like that they watch you as you look at the products. I used to take forever going through the different products. It’s not fun anymore.
