thanks for watching!
It’s spendy but I used a few Mustela products on my son when he was a baby (20 years ago!) and it was good stuff then, at least. Plus I love their little blue bear character. Hey, we must find joy where we can!
I used it for my baby a couple years ago. It may be pricey but a bottle lasts forever so I find that it’s still worth it.
Hi Dr. Dray! Thanks for taking us shopping. Have a fab weekend. 😎
You’re right Dr. Dray. Mineral oil was inexpensive even at CVS. That 9 dollar price is ridiculous. Ugh inflation!! 😖 Thankfully Walmart & Target has it for about 3 bucks! 👍
CVS has the most expensive items in my area. I don’t shop there anymore.
Target online for 16 oz Up & Up brand is 2.99. Quite the difference in price!
I find CVS is incredibly expensive. I shop Walmart or Target, depending on what I need.
I was about to same thing! $9 is OUTRAGEOUS.
Woohoo! Happy drugstore hunting Friday!! 💙 Have a wonderful weekend, Dr. Dray & everyone!
happy friday
Speaking of high prices, I found the newish Olay Sensitive Mineral SPF 30 moisturizer on clearance for less than 10 dollars and I love it. If they sold it for that price instead of 30+ dollars it would be my winter favorite. The less expensive Olay Complete spf 30 stings and I can’t use it. Same with Cerave daily spf 30.
I’m not surprised by the price of the mineral oil, barely anything is under $5 these days. It is kind of insane how expensive everything is now.
Yes indeed it sure is
I bought that same mineral oil size bottle at Target it was only 2.29 😊I have itchy ear canals and dryness and it helps so much!
Thanks Dr Dray for the recommendation on using mineral oil for dry itchy ear canals it’s been helping me 😊
@Joan Shealy My ENT’s assistant also suggested mineral oil for my ears because I has some dry skin. Great suggestion!
This video is PACKED with so much good information. I need to watch it again with pen and paper! Thank you for your absolute dedication to education. ❤❤❤
These are fun and informative. I think you are in my ear every time I step into a drugstore 😂 Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us. Have a great weekend ❤
Thank you Dr. Dray, that’s a lot of professional advice you gave us; it is very helpful. BTW, as a champion poison ivy victim, I find that the product tecnu scrub does a really good job at getting those oils out and start healing faster. Also cuts down on itching. Somewhat pricey but lasts a long time and definitely worth it.
I love Tecnu! If I even suspect I’ve been where there is poison ivy, I scrub myself down with that stuff as soon as I get into the house!
Years ago, when my youngest was a baby, there were baby wipes infused with Vaseline. That was the best thing I ever used. My baby never experienced any diaper rash with this!! It was a marvel!! Haven’t seen it in years, I don’t know why they discontinued it!! It was a brilliant idea!! This was 1982! 🥰
You are right. I remember those. I used them on my little ones when they were babies. They were great. Their skin in the diaper area was always diaper rash free.
That sounds incredible. I definitely wish they still made it, then I’d buy it in bulk!
Yes Dr. Dray, when I started watching your videos, Mineral Oil was $2.99 at Target for the same 16 oz size. I’m almost done with it now and will have to buy a new one soon. But $9.99 for another 3-4 years is still pretty good. You have saved me so much money throughout the years, thanks Dr. Dray 🥰
Walmart and Target has it for $2-$3
Just plain mineral oil is really underrated. Same goes to petroleum jelly, but specifically the one from Vaseline too; just my opinion but I think even petroleum jelly can feel pretty different depending on which company purifies it.
I love mineral oil or baby oil. Whether it’s solid and it’s like Vaseline or it’s in the oil form it is so multi-use. It’s too bad that it’s been fear mongered.
Happy Friday everyone ! Very informative vlog, and thanks for enduring the annoying door beeps for us. Why do they do this to their customer’s and their employee’s. 🤷♀️ Mineral oil price was ridiculous ! My Mom told me to take it for constipation, but I think that would be a hard pass for me. 😂🤣
The Gentian Violet you mentioned is also excellent for nursing mothers/infants if they develop thrush. And it’s ok to paint it onto the nipples — yes your baby will have a purple mouth for a bit — but it does help!
0:12: 🧴 Baby oil is an underrated skincare product that can help soften and exfoliate the skin more easily when it’s wet.
3:46: 🧪 Topical vitamin D is helpful for the maturation process of keratinocytes in the epidermis, which can be delayed as you get older, leading to dull rough skin texture.
7:22: 🎥 The video discusses the benefits of using mineral oil and magnesium in skincare.
11:20: ✨ The first aid section of the drugstore contains helpful products for various skin concerns, including hyperpigmentation and poison ivy rash.
14:53: 💡 Using zinc oxide as a skin protectant is effective for improving the appearance of scars, but it should not be used as a sunscreen due to uneven protection.
18:33: ! Soak and file the wart before applying salicilic acid, then use petroleum jelly to seal cracks in the skin.
21:54: 👣 Moisture between the toes can lead to fungal and bacterial infections, especially for those with diabetes.
Recap by Tammy AI
Mineral oil is still under $4 at Walmart and Target. CVS must think they’re in the airport 🙄
As a teen, I always took my eye makeup off with baby oil. Worked great.I used to get poison ivy something awful as a child. Absolutely miserable, especially since I would get it all over my hands and face. Sure wish I had known about the Domeboro treatment. My mom would coat my face with the old fashioned brown laundry soap to supposedly dry it up. Gotta love those country treatments! 😂 And no, it didn’t help. Usually ended up at the doctors and being put on steroids. Loved the video, Dr Dray. I’m always looking for reasonably priced hidden gems. Thanks!! Hope you, your sweet momma and little Tybee have a fantastic weekend! 💞
