Happy Wednesday, everyone! Have a beautiful day! Dr. Dray, I look forward to your videos every day. Thank you! 💗
Morning!
Thank you for such a thoughtful, thorough vlog addressing sagging skin! You are the best!! ❤️
Glad it was helpful!
Great, helpful video Dr Dray. Have a wonderful day.
SO FUNNY . . . . . “Don’t get it twisted, it’s not gonna give you a facelift.” I laughed out loud‼️
My grandpa, who always wore sunscreen as soon as it came out, but he was already older, lost half his nose to skin cancer. My cousin, an OBGYN, developed a deadly melanoma that killed her uncle that she was lucky to catch before it spread. She’s a doctor but never thought about sunscreen. I thank Dr.Dray for making sunscreen interesting and attractive for people to encourage them to wear it. Through her I found more sunscreens I liked and *wanted* to wear.
I am now teaching my daughter to wear it, despite objections from non-believers in the family, and I leverage Dr.Dray’s explanations all the time to justify it.
So thank you Dr.Dray!
How do you have non believers when two family members have already been effected?
Good for you ❤
Yes. I’m exactly experiencing what is described here post weight loss (30-40 pounds) regarding the saggy skin trapping sweat etc. its worse on my stomach. Not to mention the stretch marks which itch like crazy. I don’t know if losing the weight was worth it sometimes 😢 as I wasn’t expecting to experience this with what I considered mild weight loss over time (about 170 to 130). I don’t know how people that experience more significant weight loss are comfortable and what they do to combat this because I’m struggling. I also have very dry skin so it definitely is not a good feeling to have sweat over bone dry skin.
You’re not alone! I lost 100lbs. and my confidence is low because of loose skin. The name calling doesn’t help either.
How old are you, if you don’t mind me asking?
It can also be difficult in the U.S. depending on if you have insurance and what type you have as some plans view removal of saggy skin due to dieting as cosmetic and won’t cover it.
You should try Vaseline Extremely Dry Skin Rescue lotion. It is easily absorbed into your skin, and isn’t greasy at all.
Great no-nonsense info! ❤
Does topical phytic acid have a positive effect on facial skin? Thank you, Dr Dray!! 💐
I have personally seen improvement in the underlying volume with facial exercise, but it takes as much consistency as regular exercise to be really effective.
Could you share what exercises you do? 💛
I have seen results as well with facial exercises.
I have seen positive differences in my face from face exercises, too.
My answer to my flabby arm muscles is to wear 3/4 length sleeves! Just started using hand weights and doing exercises to help in that area. PT gave me some good exercises. Hope it helps, but I know I have to be consistent for them to help.
Strength training helps a lot for such problems.
3/4th shirts are so ugly though :( I’m a guy so I can get away with boxier fits, helps get rid of the bat wings 🤣
@Fanboy Well, happy to hear, but my blouses and tops go just to the elbow maybe a little higher, and aren’t ugly at all!! . But I’m hoping my strength training will help the situation and maybe one day I can wear sleeveless in the summer months, once in a while. I just need to have the discipline to do exercises everyday!
So appreciate this overview of what the options are and if they are effective. I just want to look my best. Not interested in surgery. Too many risks. Plus I’ve seen so many Hollywood people look plastic and some actually WORSE than they did before. 😮.
Thank you!!!!😊
Absolutely 👍
You said this at the end so I want to put it in the comments in case anybody misses it. Dr. Dray debunks the myth that intermittent fasting will get rid of saggy skin through autophagy. Thank you!
I had never even heard of that myth, interesting! 👀
Fasting actually does improve skin. Have done this for five years now.
Dr. Dray….Thank you for all your skin care advise. You have saved me a lot of money recommending lower priced skincare that actually works. I have a very thin face with slight sagging. Proper placement of makeup works wonders to make the face appear fuller also.
I think Dr. Dray has found a special someone. I have noticed that she’s looking really good lately! Full of color and glowing!
As an old woman, I’ve taken good care of my skin, and it looks good! But I’ve some jowls- it’s always something. 😊
Andrea, thank you so much as always for all the information you provide us!! Thanks to you I switched basically all of the products I use for hair and skin both of which have never looked or felt better. Thank you thank you thank you ☺️🌸
Thanks so much for filling us in on all the procedures to help loose skin. I never thought I’d consider any type of cosmetic procedure, but…I’ve changed my view. I have loose skin mostly everywhere, but my lower face and neck are starting to bother me. Not liking what I see in the mirror so much. I’ve never been a really vain type person, but a little self conscious. I do all I can do with my skincare routine, but like you said, no cream or even retinal is going to tighten skin back to where it used to be, in our younger years. Thanks for debunking all the false claims that are made in the cosmetic industry. We want to believe in them, but at age 62, I know by trial & error, there’s no miracle cream out there. So sad, it would make life so much easier ! 😂😂🤣
Hi. Regarding the Radiofrequency for Microneedling: You discuss how this is used to treat areas of the body, but I was wondering what your opinion of this procedure was for the face which is always the context that I’ve heard R.F. in.
Facial yoga and facing tapping has improved my face. Been doing it neally everyday for a year, and my face is visably a lot more toned and less under chin sagging.
