  1. Thanks – i’m dealing with pain on my scalp, and the exact spot where it hurts at a given time is where I experience thinning or hairloss. I’m very scared, but I have an appointment with a derm next month. I hope everything will heal and regrow.

It has taken such a toll on my mental health

    1. Only a month?šŸ˜šŸ™ŒšŸ» This is such a great thing to read! I know it’ s easy to say “don’ t be scared” but don’ t be scared. The derm will find out the cause and the solution✨ Keep us updated, please. Best wishesšŸ§›šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ–¤

  2. Thank you for this. I have vera gro in my Amazon cart rn because of YT influencer I follow. I haven’t committed because it’s $$$. I’m now going to delete it from my cart & make a doctor’s appointment.

  3. The Budget Dermatologist just did a video on this today. She said the same thing. She also said to pay attention to what the description of the products/hair serums actually say and not the marketing.

  4. Has anybody tried the pur a dor shampoo and conditioner that Costco sells? Supposedly it helps with hair thinning and loss

  5. my issue isn’t hair “loss” per say because I have never had it to loose lol. I just need more hair to grow and for it to be thiker strands

  6. What about hair loss due to hormones? I have been experiencing hair loss from more than an year due to Peri menopausal hormonal shift

  7. After losing half my hair, my ā€œboard certified dermatologistā€ said ā€œDon’t know what’s causing your hair loss. You won’t go bald but here is a referral to my friend that does hair transplants.ā€ I no longer have enough hair to even transplant. I think I need a second opinion.

    1. If that friend is not a doctor…don’t go

And your derm probably just trying to promote her friend’s business

  8. I don’t know how it is in the US. But in the UK derms are not so easily accessible. Your GP will never refer you to a derm for a bit of hairloss. And private derms just try to sell you their own products for extortionate prices. So we have no choice but to experiment with products

    1. That’s interesting, I don’t know about the UK healthcare system but I thought you could see the derm through NHS

    2. @Olive Yeah you can be referred to a derm through NHS but like for serious conditions. However from my experience – unless your GP is extremely kind, there’s no chance of getting a referral to a derm if you have a tiny bit of hairloss or other ā€˜minor’ skin conditions. I had severe eczema for 25 years and was never once referred. And I feel like most women start noticing their own hair loss before it is visible to others if that makes sense, so the doctor may dismiss that a derm is even needed.

  9. I saw a dermatologist today and got my first PRP treatment on my scalp.

It surprised me she said to repeat the procedure every 15 days, as opposed to most doctors recommending it once a month for 3 months, then once every 4-6 months. So my question is; is this healthy or excessive? 🄺

  10. Inspired by your previous videos and use retinol together with rosemary oil on my scalp and it improves my hair significantly in a few weeks.

  11. Mine started falling out after COVID , cut caffeine to reduce cortisol, have been eating better and taking a multi vitamin supplement, changed my shampoo to a strengthening one and tried to stop freaking out (also cut my hair short so all the new hair won’t have as much growing to do to catch up)… 6mths later and it is growing back.. it’s less thick than it was … but at least it stopped falling out in clumps…

  12. Where I live there is no appointments for dermatologists this year and next year’s schedule is not out yet. So if you call to book an appointment they just say that they doesn’t have any times. Quite terrifying if you start to think about some skin diseases that need quick treatment and you don’t have enough money to afford very expensive private care.

  13. My hair loss is an unfortunate side effect of my lupus meds. I’ve held off cutting it shorter but I’m probably getting to that point. It is what it is. My hair was always my favourite thing about myself. Currently taking vitamins for hair growth.

  14. For females, hormonal hair loss just wont go away no matter what you do. It is largely genetics I feel, what do I do. Any suggestions

  15. Monoxide works but it gives me split ends. I don’t know why. I even put oils in hair before I put on monoxide on my scalp and I still get weird texture in and the length of my hair

  16. I tried several products some I enjoyed and had a placebo effect however, I loss almost 60% of my hair due to lupus 😢 Visit your doctor before its too late
