Adapalene has been so good for my skin! I never would have thought about it until I watch your videos.
I used adapalene for about 2-3 years and yes, it made a huge change.
6 months ago I switched to Tretinoin and it’s so much stronger. I never thought my pores and acne scars would shrink, but they have quite a bit.
Is it normal for skin to start flaking on adapalene?
@@nadezdalaradimsoski8735 Yes, you need a period of getting used to it. It should stop in a couple of weeks, sometimes several weeks. I find The Ordinary Barrier Support to really help calm my skin. Wait 15 mins for adapalene to sink in and then apply the serum on top overnight.
@@nadezdalaradimsoski8735yes, just make sure you’re moisturizing and using sunscreen. After awhile it will get better and not be so flaky.
@@nadezdalaradimsoski8735 yes its one of the most common side effects of it. I suggest to get a rich moisturizer and apply as much and as offten as you feel is needed. Especially after applying the adapalene.

I use Adapalene for anti- aging. I don’t know how effective it’s been, but will continue. It’s a bit drying, so I backed off to every other evening.

I can’t say enough about how much I love the Aveeno Oat Moisture Gel as well, Dr. Dray! I tried it thanks to you and it is SO wonderful!! I’ve never used a more effective moisturizer — the way it sinks in, creates a perfect balance on the skin and greatly diminishes redness (I have perioral dermatitis flares from time to time) is unreal! I too hope Aveeno never discontinues it. It’s not fun or exciting packaging but it is in a lovely glass jar and omg how amazing this product is!!
