Thanks for addressing sleep wrinkles. I have found my silk pillow case and type of pillow is very helpful. My best friend is not convinced that this is a real issue so I am going to share this with her since she does agree with me that your advice is trustworthy. Plus we are both over 50 so I am sure there will be other great tips for us!
They are frustrating to wake up to
I had to teach myself to sleep on my back. I had been a side sleeper all of my life. I still miss sleeping that way but not as much as I hated the sleep wrinkles lol.
@Jennifer Marie I also do this now… any helpful tricks for what to do with hair when you sleep on your back? So far I just sleep on it lmao, or put it in two braids.
@luckyDancer100 2 loose braids tied with a silk scrunchy is the way to go in my opinion.
I’m 45 and the struggle is real lol! I have a silk pillow plus sleeping on my back helps so much! I need that pillow! Thanks Dr. Dray!
NOTE TO ALL GIRLS! 40S go by soooo fast!! Plz have fun🤪🥂🥂
@Holly yay❤❤ fun is fun
@philly jilly💋 Not only that but late 30s into 40s is when our libido really starts taking off and out our sex drive is high. Although im scared to get old and age, I feel younger now at 41 than i did at 31.
I have a little over a month left of my 40’s 🫠
So do 50’s. 60’s are also rolling by pretty quickly. Enjoy the ride Folks because nothing is eternal!!
No truer words!!!
Terrific informative video. I’m 71 and don’t take hormones. Do you have any videos on 70’s. I’ve been experiencing a sudden sensitivity in my skin this year. It’s very frustrating when sudden.
Dr. Dray could you please do a similar video for the 60’s & 70’s range? I love your videos & have learned a lot. Thanks!
Yes please do. We seem to be the forgotten group yet we are very much alive and we need the same no nonsense approach that the younger groups get. You could throw in the 80s group too. Enjoying your videos from 🇨🇦. Thank you.
Totally agree. Would love to see a video addressing skin care for 60, 70, 80 and beyond ❤
I’ve seen channels that address 60 plus but they aren’t derms.
Yes please.
I’m lucky to be alive this long, but it is hard to see one’s face structure morph. Thanks for the support!
Exactly
I’m lucky my skin is in great condition, considering the fact I never took my skincare too seriously. I just turned 40 this year, but I am definitely finding affordable skincare products to help slow the signs.
And I quit smoking seven months ago after 25 years. :-) Hopefully that will help too.
I’m about to turn 40 next week! This video is very well timed for me. Thank you!
Happy Birthday 🎁 🎉
Happy birthday!!
Thank you! 🥰
Happy Friday, Doc! This is right on time—-I’m 49 and dealing with peri-menopausal symptoms. Fun times. 😒 Have a great weekend, everyone! ❤
I’m 45 and in full blown menopause 😩 the struggle is real! Lol…have a great weekend!
Me as well!!! For 3yrs and have muscle weakness too that 3 specialists still cant figure out! Sry 4 the rant
@philly jilly💋 I hope they find out what’s going on soon 🙏
@Samantha Hanks aww thank u!!!
@philly jilly💋 you are welcome 🥰
You look so beautiful!!! I am 36, and I have been postmenopausal since age 25. You are absolutely correct. My hair is turning white (transparent white). My skin is getting dry, and it is very sensitive. You have helped me out tremendously throughout the years, and I genuinely want to say thank you Dr. Dre.
At the age of 25?? How did you find out ? Is there anyway one can check if they’re going through menopause?
Do you mean pre- or post-menopausal? I was pre for a long time in my late 30s, so apparently that’s early. I didn’t mind because my cycle started when I was really young, so I was ready for it to end.
I went through menopause in my 20’s also. There are tests you can have to see your fertility levels and hormones.
@L Trotter post. I already went through menopause.
@doyoumissming Wow, that’s way to early! Were you able to have children?
Timely indeed! Can the Elastin issue be address with:
Externally: Skin care containing elastin, and
Internally: L-Lysine, to maintain both collagen & elastin?
I’m over 70 & there is no hope for me & it happened all of a sudden it feels like! I still feel in my brain like I’m in my 30’s! I love your videos!
I just hit 70 and yes indeed it seems everything had gone south suddenly. I think stress has really made it worse but the plummeting hormone level is the main culprit. What I hate: you become invisible to people younger than yourself. Ladies 70 up you know what I mean!
@Trish St John, yes, I know exactly what you mean!🥺
I turned 70 in August and shockingly enough, I have no wrinkles at all. My daughter has them. I love your videos and my skin looks better e
than ever . I do have LPP but it started when I was 18.
You know what. If you have wrinkles and I met you I’m not gonna pick your skin apart in my mind. Wrinkles are ok. They tell a story. They’re beautiful. It’s ok to AGE. This fear of aging is absolute overkill and not realistic ya know. You’re gorgeous and I don’t care about wrinkles or what you look like. Life is too short. The heart is what matters. ❤️🤗
@Mignon Alverson I’m 71 & don’t take hormones due to health concerns. Don’t know any woman or man that looks same in 70’s as they did in their 30’s!! Yes, our society is obsessed with youth, but it isn’t end of the world! Take one day at a time, be grateful if u r healthy, enjoy nature more, and just age as gracefully as u can. Men get wrinkles too! I don’t remember my grandmothers wrinkles or my mothers saggy jaw, but I do remember their good hearts & kindness.
I’m 59, never been on retin A and I have long history of ezcema so I was afraid to start it but my dermatologist gave me Altreno and I’ve been using it every other day for 3 weeks and doing well. No major irritation and I can tell already its improving my skin. I would highly recommend this tretinoin script for anyone with sensitive skin or worried about irritation.
My husband’s dad was an avid smoker since he was a fourteen until maybe about 5-8 years ago in his 60’s. It saved his life and he’s still going strong. It’s really never too late to quit smoking, you can always improve. Best of luck to anyone out there who wants to put that cigarette down forever. ❤
I’m from Los Angeles , I and two other of my friends tried him immediately we testified his performing wonders
After I got upto 300K trading with Mr Gergely korpos.I bought a new House and I’m now able to send my kids to a better school in the states thanks to Mr Gergely Korpos. When someone is straight forward with what he or she is doing people will always speak up for them
The crypto market is highly profitable with an expert broker just like Mr Gergely . I got recommended to him and since then my financial life has been a success.
Just withdrew my profits a week ago, it was so shocking when I withdrew $32,450 knowing I invested $3,000. I wish I could reinvest but, too much bills 😭
Long term investment is the best now. I invested $6,500 in March last year with Mr Gergely and I top up my trade with $500 every week. Now I’m having over $147,000 on my dashboard. Toping up your trade is really important
I turned 50 this year, skin is in pretty good shape still – hydrated and still plump not very wrinkly, just a lot of brown spots everywhere! 🌈 Happy Aloha Friday Dr Dre! 🌈 Love the subtle wings on your upper eyeliner, looks very very nice.
Thank you for addressing this, Dr. Dray. Age 43…the acne is still here! And now the facial hair has joined the party 😂. Gotta make the best of it, wear my sunscreen, and know that I’m not alone.
I so wish you’d address skin care in the 60’s. I’ve mentioned it in the comments a few times. Can skin not be made to look better or somewhat helped at this age? It seems that 60+ women are put out to pasture.
There are channels that address 60 plus but they aren’t derm channels.
Hi Dr. Dray! I’m turning 44 very soon, drastically abused my skin until the last few years, yet I don’t have any skin spots, wrinkles (not even fine lines), etc. In fact, my skin improved over the years as my nutrition improved. I’ve been dedicated to a plant-based, unprocessed diet for decades. On that note, as a data scientist I am curious if any qualitative studies have determined how much genes and nutrition determine skin health as opposed to external products. That would make for a very important video to tell people how much is within our control.
I am 45 and fortunately have never had problem with Acne until recently. It’s very frustrating. My skin has also gotten very sensitive and feels like everything makes it red and sometimes a rash appears, except for Aveeno calm and restore.
I literally woke up at 52 / post menopause & didn’t even recognize myself! After menopause I looked like a different person. 😮 It was upsetting and scary. I decided to take steps and start a skin rejuvenation journey. Along with the original sleeping & glow pillow, I invested in a great skin care routine, and in-office treatments. I don’t regret spending one single penny! I feel like myself again.🙌
Hi what kind of office procedures do you think really helped you?
I’m 38 and have a lot more facial hair. I’ve been getting laser and it works well. Lasts quite a few months and then you have to do another round for the newest hairs that pop up! I was getting ingrowns on my face so this was necessary!
