  1. You forgot the young lady that puts a pound of foundation on first lol……covers everything with it, including lips and eyelids.

  2. Stop being so fake polite, she clearly said in the video “my technique” and her face is so sunken she doesn’t need contouring

    1. & drag queens have been doing it for years! If I’m not mistaken JLO’s previous makeup artist Kevin Aucoin did her makeup in the early 2000’s and he used the underpainting technique. Then when she met Scott she showed him how she liked her makeup done and he’s been doing it like that ever since.

  3. Susan tell ya girl girl Nikki I want a YouTube video on her makeup asap! Her eye makeup is stunning and accentuates her eyes so well!

  4. Maybe JLO just tells all her makeup artists to “under paint” because Scott Barnes touts the technique as well. Tati Westbrook does it a lot with much deeper colors and it looks crazy at first but works well once blended out

  5. On the eyeliner thing – something interesting, aside from the understandably annoying act of models leaving residue make up on, is that Indians love and do this constantly, since decades :) We’ve been tightlining our bottom lash line since a LONG time (and this in fact has some cultural significance for us as well) and the next day after having properly washed your face the night before, your eyes still have that mild residue of the day before’s tightlining and it makes your eyes look pretty and defined without being too intense. It’s like a milder situation :) But of course, not talking about models, just regular people living life haha. So it was funny for me to see people “discover” this when it’s been a thing we’ve loved doing over here in India since, as I mentioned, decades! Always interesting to see very regular practices of certain cultures or countries become “trends” in the US but it’s simultaneously nice to see people discover fun, good stuff.

  6. I will NEVER return to matte makeup. I’ve never loved my makeup more than I have now! I never loved my makeup when I used high coverage foundation and no bronzer/contour, highlight and CRUSTY MATTE LIPS 🤣

  7. why did you guys gatekeep the “gym lips” trick if you’ve been doing it for so long??? 😂 never heard of it until gym lips became a thing

  8. Triggering? Really. Please get over yourselves. There is so much going on in the world and models showing up with left over makeup on their face is not the end of the world

  9. I love this duo! Obviously you’re both experts in your fields, but there’s an authenticity about both of you that just works.

  10. I think the best way to forecast trends is looking at Chinese and Korean skincare and makeup, they are truly so ahead of us in these fields!
