walgreens has a coal tar shampoo very similar called T plus tar gel. even the bottle is similar to t gel

Nizoral is good and has been said to aid in hair growth

I miss Neutrogenas Anti Residue Shampoo. It was phenomenal. Have yet to find a product to replace it. It was a best seller for years and years. Why, why do companies remove well selling products???
Someone is probably paying them a ton of money to get rid of these things so they can charge more for these ingredients or help other industries
It was amazing! I am loving the Kristen Ess clarifying. Not quite as good as the Neutrogena anti-residue but the best I have found so far.

Ion from sallys has a really good clarifying shampoo, (blue bottle) also ion scalp build up remover (little liquidly) reminds you of a serum, it cleans the scalp soooo good.

My grandma used that shampoo when i was a kid. The smell is not something a child would ever love, but i remember my hair always feeling better after using it 😂😅

MG217 has a coal tar shampoo in the US that really works for psoriasis if the smell does not bother you

Hang in there- sometimes it’s a redesign issue. I work in Dermatology. We thought some of the Aveeno products were discontinued but they were just redesigning the package. Neutrogena is doing this on their gel moisturizer

My mom starting using that on my oldest sister, when she was a child and now my sisters 42yo, still has severe psoriasis, my sis still uses it as a body wash for her psoriasis as well as hair- I can still smell that tar smell after all these years😅

Q. Why is it so hard to find coal tar shampoo?
A. In addition to the cost of equipment the pharmaceutical companies can only order the API in large quantities so need to have the correct storage facilities available as Coal Tar Solution BP is highly flammable. These variables have led to a lot of smaller manufacturers choosing not to make or stock coal tar products.

They also discontinued their anti -residue shampoo. I loved the scent . My husband had been using it for at least 25 years .
The Neutrogena T/Sal with 3% salicylic acid was my fav. They need to bring it back.
Yes!!! I need this for my scalp (psoriasis) and have been using it for years! I bought an off brand by Equate ( walmart) and I’m losing my hair! My hairdresser even asked me what was going on because I used to have thick hair!!
