Happy weekend all. I recently started to listen to the Blowout professor here on YouTube because I want to manage my fine, thin hair. I wonder what Dr Dray thinks about that approach (he calls it the trinity routine). Essentially shampoo and condition with salon quality shampoo, and apply leave in conditioner, followed by a few drops of oil for the ends.
I know Dr Dray is not always one to reply specifically to creators’ content but rather trends or straight up misleading information on the Tok,,, but one can hope for a video on the subject!
I enjoy him too! (similar hair :)
I think his info is legit. He doesn’t encourage you to buy and buy products. And is straightforward with all bs.
6:23 wait you are a VISION at this part! Your skin looks so healthy!
Happy Saturday!! Dr Dray giving us Audrey Hepburn vibes and I’m here for it! ☀️
She often reminds me of Audrey Hepburn. Especially when she wears that big white sun hat.
Happy Saturday!
Yes !!! I thought the same thing when she put the hat on & was wearing her shades….& w/that great white shirt ! Definitely an Audrey Hepburn vibe, Andrea ! Nice !
Oooh, I’m really looking forward to the Ordinary video you have coming! I’m a fan of The Ordinary because I always like to watch my wallet, so getting the lowdown on their latest products is a win-win.
same here
Tooting around shopping with Dr Dray on a slow and steamy Saturday = my favorite pastime!
Happy Saturday!
I just came back from the drugstore looking for skin care. I thought of you Dr.Dray remembered everything you taught us. Have a beautiful weekend❤
Awwww man… a tap dance routine would have been most sublime 😊 Thank you for all the info you share with us. Stay well Doc!
lol
would you consider doing monthly wrap ups of the books you read? love your taste in books 🙂
The other day my coworker picked fun at me because my pale skin didn’t tan at all at the shore last week. I said I’m a proud SPF and sun protective clothing wearer. Skin cancer ain’t got nothing on us 😎 Happy Saturday!
Be proud of yourself. I live on an island very close to water. I don’t step foot on the shore, beaches and such. Yes, I buy my fish at the dock, outside with a hat, sunglasses and sunblock and shorts. Then run back to my house, lol…
Oh, making fun of a non tanned person🙄😒. Even if UV rays were absolutely harmless, I would stay pale because my aesthetic gothic preferences. Imagine picking fun at someone because this person has random patterns on their chest👙🤦🏻♀️. Patience, God give me patience… AND MONEY😆
My friend just had basal cell carcinoma, removed on her chin and neck, she has terrible sun damaged skin (Fl.) not a pretty site.😳 so wear sunscreen
how to turn skin into leather???? tan it!!! (shoe makers understand!)
I looooove this CeraVe “oil” but let’ s be realistic: it’ s a thick gel texture (kinda like honey) that foams and bubbles🧼🫧😅. It melts absolutely everything yet being gently and delicate. No itchiness or tightness feeling. Don’ t expect an oil that becomes milky in contact with water. I’ d describe it as an oil trapped in a foaming cleanser body.
🧛🏻♀️🖤🖤🖤👩🏻⚕️🧑🏼🦳🐕
Nice point.
Best smelling products without intentionally added fragrance to them: 1) DRMTLGY sunscreen 2) Peach Slices Oil-Free acne moisturizer 3) New Cerave OIl Foaming Cleanser 4) Benzoyl peroxide washes 😂
Anything with added fragrance? Unwearable, vile. Random chemical and pool-float smells? Sign me up.
I love the peach slices acne products. currently using the toner and moisturizer. I have not tried the cleanser yet , instead i use the laroche posay cleanser for oily skin only because I don’t want too much salicylic acid
Love the peach slices toner. I’ve got the cleanser ordered. I’m using up the Cetaphil Gentle Clear SA cleanser now, which is great. Curious how peach slices will compare.
You know it’s August in Texas when water coming out of the tap is warm. I’ve been taking showers with just the cold water faucet turned on and it’s plenty warm. 🌞
Oh wow. You won’t believe it but I found one of those hats at my thrift store for .50 cents! Still had the original tag for $50.00! Yikes! I love thrifting. I also love Dr. Drays practical, simple skin care recommendations! Happy weekend everyone 🌹
I agree with the serum thing. As soon as I see “dimethicone” in a serum, I think, “this is a liquid moisturizer.” And usually, those serums are great moisturizers for my oily skin. Happy Saturday!
I got the skin1004 Madagascar Hylu-Cica Blue Serum because you mentioned it in a video I believe at the end of last year (?). It’s really marvelous. I feel like it gets ignored by a lot of reviewers but I’m so grateful I heard you mention it and it piqued my interest! Thank you! But I can tell you love this Timeless COQ10 & I can’t wait anymore, I have to try it. 🧡
From your recommendation, I began using a dandruff shampoo in conjunction with my regular shampoo bc I use dry shampoo a few times a week. This has changed my scalp and hair to the better! It cleanses all the dry shampoo away and my regular shampoo works much better! Thank you for the recommendation in your videos.
I love this! I’ve been using serums only under sunscreen. I thought I was the odd one out but serums alone are moisturising enough for me, even at night. I finally decided to just disregard how the products are named and just do what I need to do.
Thanks for taking us along with you. Love bookstores and libraries. I subcribed to Taste of Home for many years and also have many of their books. I’ve made many delicious dishes from both the magazines and cookbooks. Just got a new book today called The Only One Left and I’m excited to start reading it. Happy Saturday, Dr Dray! Hope you have a relaxing evening. 💗
Personally I was never able to strike a balance between moisturizer and sunscreen. Using both always resulted in oily skin, and makeup would slip right off. Only using sunscreen wasn’t moisturizing enough. I had an A-HA moment the first time I applied my hyaluoronic acid serum (I’m partial to the L’Oreal one) prior to my sunscreen. Finally found the sweet spot 😊 highly recommend it!
I’ve been using up some serums and toners that didn’t work for me as “lightweight body lotions” this summer and I’ve been shocked how well they moisturize on their own. I thought I had to “lock it in” with lotion/cream on top.
