I tried it, and it was one of the most uncomfortable and awkward experience ever. How many times do you have to do it to start feeling comfortable 😅 I never sleep with socks on, even when it’s cold, so maybe this type of thing won’t work for me
You don’t have to sleep with it on. You can leave it on however long you’re comfortable after showering. The point is to seal in the Vaseline with socks
I also cannot sleep with socks on, even in winter. I overheat and then cannot sleep. I finally decided to buff my feet, clean and wet them, slather on the vaseline and put on socks DURING THE DAY! I go about my daily routine and 8 hours later, remove the socks. The vaseline has absorbed into my skin and my feet are super soft! Just a suggestion for others who also cannot sleep with socks on. 😊
Tried this for a while, it was a sensory nightmare both sleeping in socks and having the Vaseline seep between my toes. I’m much more content with having janky feet.
Lmao same for me, I’m not the kind of person who can tolerate something greasy or sticky on my skin overnight. For me sleeping is a time to relax, not be uncomfortable.
Omg I’m an even bigger masochist and sleep with those plastic spa booties so my lotion really sinks in. My feet are so bad though that I need to do something. I hate it though and sleep poorly when I do it but I feel like socks just soak up the lotion when I do that.
I also slathered cerave around my lips and eyes to create a leyer of protection from Retinol and my eyes are smooth no longer i get the drying scaly look under make up my eyes looked younger.
Wow DR. Dray!!!! Can I follow your leg workout routine? Look at those calves! I completely agree with the comment below, could you be any more perfect!?! Thank you for your amazing content and the very valuable information that you share with the world! You’re the best!❤
My feet are so soft! When I shower I plug the bath so my feet soak while washing my hair. Then I pull the drain and use a pumice stone (the oval one at Dollar Tree) on my feet and rub around my toes/toenails using my thumb. Then finish with a gentle foot brush. Afterwards I follow with my Lotion. I don’t need to use Vaseline or use this method but wouldn’t hesitate to if and when I did need to! 😊 it’s my home version of a pedicure
If, like me, you cannot sleep at night with socks on, don’t worry. I shower in the morning, make sure my feet are wet, then slather on the Vaseline and pop on the socks. Important that your feet are wet so there is a layer of moisture between your skin and the Vaseline. I go about my day and eight hours later, remove my socks. The Vaseline has absorbed into my skin and I have very soft feet. Later, I can sleep at night without socks.
@Peregrine Falcon I’m in England and just use a mild glycolic toner that Aldi makes for my feet, knees and elbows. Not sure where you are? But if you are in the US? I assume that Walmart or somewhere like that will carry an equivalent. Not sure if Aldi do beauty products in the US?
There’s also zen toes and other brands that you can wear overnight or watching tv. They’re half socks and don’t cover toes, for people who can’t sleep with socks on or Vaseline.
Excited to be this evening Dr Dray Happy Friday . Thanks for sharing this great tip have a good night.
Even your feet are perfect!🤪💖💖
That’s a red card
Been doing this for years for my feet and hands Learned from grandma who’s 96yo and has perfect, soft skin😊

It is uncomfortable, but you don’t need to keep the socks on all night. When you go to sleep, take the socks off. It still works

I advise people sit down while doing this lol. Then you’ll avoid slipping and sliding in your wet bathroom.
I wish someone said this earlier,it’s too late now. I’m writing this as a ghost now.
@Dreyer rip Casper
I use Cetaphil with urea❤

Cerave SA cream every morning before socks. The salicylic acid makes your feet unbelievably SMOOTH and the cream base softens.
I also slathered cerave around my lips and eyes to create a leyer of protection from Retinol and my eyes are smooth no longer i get the drying scaly look under make up my eyes looked younger.

I do this. I also wipe my feet with a glycolic acid toner twice a week before applying just to help exfoliate them.
Hello, can you please tell us which glycolic acid toner you use?

Who else finds Dr Dray cute asf
that’s the hint, moisturising is the key
I’ve been doing this for years and I totally agree !!!!

I coat my feet In 10% Urea moisturiser before going to sleep, works a treat!
I do this with raw shea butter once or twice week and it really does help!❤
I call it marinating 😂
