  1. I never knew that copper did this! My hair isn’t blonde, but I def have some sun damage 😩 I usually do oil my hair before getting in pools to protect from the chlorine.

  2. The best protection that worked for me and my daughter is castor oil, it is so thick that nothing can goes through it you just need to sit on the shade because it’s is oil . But if you are using the swimming pool to actually swim not to relax😅you shouldn’t worry about it.

    1. As a teenager years and years ago I would wet my hair at the hose outside before jumping into the pool.

  3. I didn’t have chemically treated hair as a kid, but one summer my hair turned green from swimming in the pool a lot that summer. My mom used a lemon juice and baking soda paste to get it out. Then she used a V05 hot oil treatment to help restore my dried out hair.

  4. As a kid my hair turned slimy green every Summer. I think my mom used a vinegar rinse on it. Naturally blonde hair is a lot like bleached hair. It has problems but it’s usually shiny!

  5. My hair would turn green sometimes from swimming in chlorine. And I didn’t have color treated hair just blonde hair. The thing that works perfectly is tomato paste. Sometimes you have to put it in your hair twice, but leave it in long enough and it takes the green right out. Pretty simple.

  6. Malibu C swimmers shampoo or Ultra Swim. My first summer living in a house with a pool, I was also growing out a perm and my hair turned green. Also, even just getting it wet with tap water or bottled water helps. I used to use the very liquid Infusium23 leave in before swimming.

  7. You can chelate your hair by washing it with dawn dishsoap, then squeeze lemon juice on it. Follow with a deep conditioning mask. It’s great to do once a month even if you don’t have green hair.

  8. My mom used to wash my hair with tomato sauce after I went swimming in a chlorinated pool. It was so gross but it took every hint of green out of my hair.
