  1. I had an allergic reaction to a large border dressing they put over my neck during cervical fusion. The day after surgery, the skin under the bandage was red when they took it off. I put hydrocortisone cream on it. It healed after about two weeks. The skin is still a different color. It has gotten better five months out.

  2. I have atopic dermatitis on my hands, along my hairline and on both sides of my neck, which can be itchy and gets very dry and flaky. My dark neck spots make me very self conscious. I have had people ask me if I have diabetes (which I don’t, my A1C is great) or if it is a passion mark 😢. Try explaining to someone that it’s eczema and they look at you like you’re crazy.

  3. My four year old has a dark neck due to eczema and I’ve been wondering how to fade it. Using an AHA lotion like Amlactin doesn’t seem like a good idea.
