In today’s video, I’m diving into Paul Mitchell’s NEW fragrance-free hair care line to see if it lives up to the hype — especially for those with sensitive scalps or fragrance allergies. As a board-certified dermatologist, I’ll break down the ingredients, highlight what’s good, what’s questionable, and whether it’s actually safe and effective for scalp health.
👉 If you’ve ever experienced itching, flaking, or irritation from scented products, this one’s for you.

I’m loving the Maelove line!! Thanks Dr. Dray! 😊
It is so good! I hope they keep it around and don’t discontinue it
@@DrDrayzdayyes!!
What a coincidence speaking of Paul Mitchell shampoo. Yesterday, I had a hair appointment with a stylist (my regular is on leave) and when she finished washing my hair, my white hair was so shiny! I mean literal and pretty shine! With someone (me) who has my coarse and dry hair, this is new to me. I asked her what she used on my hair, she said Paul Mitchell shampoo. Now, I don’t know if it was a fragrance or not, but I’m going to try a bottle. Fragrance in shampoo is the only fragrance on my body/face that I can tolerate. It lathered well and I enjoyed the shampoo, especially when someone else does it!
Thats helpful. NOT
@@Mrtellitlikeitis that’s rude and unnecessary, what this person is saying is that she was impressed by the brand when used on her hair
The water used could also have an effect on the outcome, not so much the product.
My gray hair looks more orange due to the mineral content in my well water.
Many of the “purple” stink like a floral shop.
I’d love to know which shampoo so I can give it a try!
I love this! I’m a hairdresser with sensitive skin. I haven’t always loved the performance of the formulations of some of the fragrance free options on the market, but PM formulas are usually decent, and I feel like this could be really great and I can also recommend it to clients looking for fraigrance free options. I could even have the option to retail it in the salon if the demand is there.
this line is great!
Interesting! I am using the Cerave fragrance free shampoo and conditioner and love it.
it is so good!
Did you ever try the Kristen Ess fragrance free hair care line? I believe it’s at Target.
Greetings d b hope u r well n Happy Wednesday😀👍💐🎉!!!….
Thanks for introducing us to new products. I used to use Paul Mitchell. I just might try this one. ❤
Thank you for the heads up (no pun intended) on the P.M. products. I appreciate your information that you always share with us. Happy Wednesday!❤️
thanks for watching!
Happy Wednesday everyone!
Happy Wednesday!
Thank you! Happy Wednesday, dear Dr. Dray and friends! 💚
I picked up a shine glaze product not realizing it was heavily scented. I couldn’t even say if it made me hair shiny or not, all I remember is the horrendous migraine. Yay for fragrance free products!
Here for Dr. Dray and so excited. Matcha is hot and ready to learn!
Happy Wednesday ! Thanks for all your videos.
Thank you for sharing Dr. Dray 😊 I find some fragrance free shampoos that have essential oils, can also irritate a sensitive scalp too. I’m glad to see more companies are finally making fragrance free options available 😊
Finally! First Cerave, now Paul Mitchel (Hey P&G, make an unscented Head and Shoulders please). Really the only option was Vanicream shampoo which, isn’t bad, but it doesn’t clean enough for me. My hair still felt oily after using it, and it didn’t really make my skin condition any better. The Cerave one I’ve been using 2 weeks now and so far so good.
There is a fragrance free Head & Shoulders sold on Amazon. Part of their BARE lineup.
Desert essence makes a fragrance free line shampoo conditioner and body wash
Paul Mitchell has always made good hair care. Nice that more hair companies are making fragrance free products. I know everyone looking for fragrance free options will be glad that these are approved by you. Happy Wednesday, Dr Dray! Thanks for the review. Hope you have a relaxing evening. 💟
Paul Mitchell haircare is excellent. Their Tea Tree shampoo is the best I’ve ever used. That being said, I would never use any unscented products, including laundry detergent. I enjoy the fragrance experience. I don’t have any skin sensitivities so I’m fine. This line is a great option for people with allergies and/or people with sensitivities to fragrance. Seems to be more natural too which is a good thing.
