Thank you to everyone who submitted questions. In this video I covered sulfur for acne, layering skincare and sunscreen with makeup, applying sunscreen when you have facial hair, whether a separate face sunscreen is necessary, and a few products I have been using recently.

    Thanks so much for watching!

  2. Here’s my question:
How long does a product need to stay on the face to be effective? Could I put an active product on the face, let it dry and then reapply it in a couple of hours to get more benefit? Once a product dries does has it stopped working?

    1. Likely depends on the product. Sunscreen reapply. Some moisturizers may need to be reapplied.
Some topicals (especially prescriptions) have set times to reapply.

    2. Depends on the product. Unless stated, actives are typically formulated to be applied once, like in the case of retinol or AHA/BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, etc. and the direction will state something like apply once a day, or apply 2-3x a week. An exception would be something like azaleic acid which can be applied twice a day, but then you have to gauge whether or not your skin can handle that frequency of application

  3. Happy Sunday Dr Dray. Thanks so much for the ongoing education. It is consistently super-helpful, and you make discussions about antiperspirants actually fun. May I say that the room in your home from which you prepare your videos is absolutely beautiful…serene, architecturally lovely, such an amazing backdrop. Have a great day. 💐

  4. 2:00 I love the Prequel brand for its luxury feel, reliable science based products and affordability.
But here is my prediction: that line will be sold to a large company like L’Oreal or another big skin care company, they’ll jack up the price and and the products will become unaffordable, just like what happened with the Paula’s Choice line.

    1. Yep. I predict this as well. Are there any U.S. brands where this hasn’t happened after 1-2 decades? I can’t think of any.

    2. I don’t care as much about the increase in price, it is the change in formulas that is upsetting.

  5. I follow Nikki La Rose suggestion on letting your concealer sit for at least a minute before you blend it in. She says and I agree that I need less concealer doing it this way and it also self sets which allows me to use only the tiniest amount of powder just to keep my mascara from smudging.

  6. Thanks for the vid, been your follower for many years and missed your vlogs, random talks during drives..! 😊 Have a great day.

  7. When I was a little girl in the 70’s I have pink and orange shag carpeting. Raspberry walls and a purple bedspread. You brought me back Dr. Dray!! 😂❤

  10. Love you in the pink and orange, Dr Dray! I thought it as soon as I saw you, and before you mentioned the colours. All the best. Jo (NZ) 💗🧡💗
