  1. Had a boss who munched on carrots; all day; skin took on a decidedly orange and unflattering hue. Similar result to this supplement.

  2. @Drdrayzday everyone is so misleading . I always come to your page because you’re the only one I trust regarding all things skincare. Thank you for your honesty!! ❤

    1. They should probably go to the hospital and tell them what they took and how much. They don’t know at what level it becomes toxic but at around 48mg their stool will turn red and they’ll likely start getting stomach pains. Hopefully most will pass through their system unadsorbed and if they do turn a colour it will likely be orange and not in a good way.

    2. Actually poison control or whatever similar thing you have wherever you live is probably a better idea.

  3. My friend loved carrots so much, that she not only ate a lot of them a day, but she also was drinking carrot juice all day long, and then she turned orange, and it was very orange and it took some time for her skin to return to normal colour.

  4. I take that exact brand of astaxanthin. I take one a day, and sometimes I skip a day. I have not turned any shade of orange or bronze. I’m still my usual very pale self. Astaxanthin has positive health benefits, which is why I take it. Don’t worry unless you are taking large doses.
