Good to note that “Deodorants” are fragrances to camouflage smells. “Antiperspirants” contain aluminum which combats wetness. Aluminum is a very effective agent in this regard.
well not everyone gets mastectomies do they… so your point doesn’t even make sense… it’s just a safety measure.. like fasting before getting blood work
My friend also got a big bump that was stage one cancer on her arm pit they said it was the aluminum deodorants, so she was advised never to use them again. Everybody reacts differently to substances, so yes, to be safe because cancer rubs close to me, I stay away from it to.
I tried every natural one I could find, but they don’t work for me… I am not afraid of aluminium but my skin is very sensitive so I need some sensitive deodorant. I tried vichy roll-on with blue cap and it’s the best. Just saying if you are maybe looking for better protection because I know that natural ones don’t do their job for everyone.🙈
I feel you, i spend YEARS trying different deodorants and the only one that works for me is vichy roll-on with blue cap. It doesn’t have any smell but it works it’s job.
@26Sundrops i have tried several affordable anti-perspirant deodorant in my country but none of them works for me. I’m afraid if I try the expensive one turns out the same 🥲 But thank you for the recomendation ☺
@Aulia Alyda Yes it is anti-perspirant. Where I am from it is about 10 euros. Idk i tried every one I could find and this one is the only one that doesn’t smell weird on me.
However…. antiperspirants clog up the armpits of my clothes…. so I started using Lume… along with glycolic acid. Dealing with bacteria instead of masking it… also antiperspirants never worked for me…ever.
no they don’t if u use benzoyl peroxide wash in the show it gets rid of the bacteria so ur not stinky. then use a fragrance free clear gel deodorant to actually stop the sweat and smell and it works like a charm it won’t clog anything
@k yes, ANTIPERSPIRANTS, like the ones she’s referencing in her short, those with aluminum absolutely do clog my clothing. Like I said, I have a system that works for me. Gylcolic acid deals with the bacteria as does the Lume. Deodorant does nothing for sweat, antiperspirants are designed to prevent sweat but they don’t work for me… never have…
now if only i could get things like fluoridated toothpaste and effective antiperspirant in plastic-free packaging. these companies think that people who care about sustainability are also the same people who heal their gingivitis with crystals.
But WHY is there aluminum if it doesn’t need to be? That’s the answer I never get & mine works
@d b Agree. Good to note that “Deodorants” are fragrances to camouflage smells. “Antiperspirants” contain aluminum which combats wetness.
Aluminum clogs the pores so that they don’t make more sweat, that’s why it’s in there. Sorry if I misunderstood ya
@c123jdflkj39 Try again… they block the sweat glands, thus preventing sweat from reaching the skin’s surface.

@c123jdflkj39 yes!
You are so pretty 😍
My mothers oncologist said to stop using aluminum based deodorant after her mastectomy. This was at Dana Farber. Was that a lie? Old science?
well not everyone gets mastectomies do they… so your point doesn’t even make sense… it’s just a safety measure.. like fasting before getting blood work
@d b 80’s 😉
Was she getting radiation? Can’t use aluminum.
My friend also got a big bump that was stage one cancer on her arm pit they said it was the aluminum deodorants, so she was advised never to use them again. Everybody reacts differently to substances, so yes, to be safe because cancer rubs close to me, I stay away from it to.
@Angelous 777 Good for you.
It left me with black pits now I use a natural one 😭😭😢
What’s wrong with black pits? U racist?
I tried every natural one I could find, but they don’t work for me… I am not afraid of aluminium but my skin is very sensitive so I need some sensitive deodorant. Hahahhaa so funny. We here in the Europe do not use this so much as in USA.
Sorry but where? Both in Italy and France almost every drugstore deodorant has aluminum salts…
@Flavio Pons
Where did I put they don’t have. I said people do not use as much as they do in the USA
@Josipa G it’s not true
@Petra Milanovic
Have you lived in Europe vs. USA? And in how many European countries have you lived in?
This me, but hearing Dr Dray voice in my head when I forget put sunscreen on😮😂
Lol the country is so conditioned to fear everything that exists more of this is a winner! 😂
Love Jennifer Tilly’s voice 👏
Trick lol vanicream has no aluminum! Kidding
Idk why every time I use anti-perspirant deodorant, my armpits smell more stinky? Am i doing it wrong???
I feel you, i spend YEARS trying different deodorants and the only one that works for me is vichy roll-on with blue cap. It doesn’t have any smell but it works it’s job.
@26Sundrops i have tried several affordable anti-perspirant deodorant in my country but none of them works for me. I’m afraid if I try the expensive one turns out the same 🥲

@Petra Milanovic is the vichy roll also anti- perspirant?
@Aulia Alyda Yes it is anti-perspirant. Where I am from it is about 10 euros. Idk i tried every one I could find and this one is the only one that doesn’t smell weird on me.
@Aulia Alyda I hope you’ll find one that will work for you, I know how hard it is. 😅🙈

@k antiperspirants stop the sweat not deodorants
Doesn’t aluminum deodorant make your sweat leave yellow stains?
Why are people saying that it’s not safe?
I use a liquid antiperspirant that literally clogs my sweat glands for like 3 days. Is it magic, no its aluminum.
Most people who survived cancer avoid it
What is it called? 😳
Haha yes!!! I’ve never believed in going “aluminum free” natural deodorant burns my skin to the point of it being red and..I smell too 🤷♀️lol
I am so done with humanity. Skin care is more like a religion than a science at this point. People just aren’t trying to hear it
I rather avoid aluminum it doesn’t leave your body and causes memory loss I also stopped using aluminum foil !
evidence?
now if only i could get things like fluoridated toothpaste and effective antiperspirant in plastic-free packaging. these companies think that people who care about sustainability are also the same people who heal their gingivitis with crystals.
Thank you Doctor!
I will not be using aluminum antiperspirants.
Hold the phone!! Vanicream makes deodorant??!
