    1. @d b Agree. Good to note that “Deodorants” are fragrances to camouflage smells. “Antiperspirants” contain aluminum which combats wetness.

    2. Aluminum clogs the pores so that they don’t make more sweat, that’s why it’s in there. Sorry if I misunderstood ya

    3. Good to note that “Deodorants” are fragrances to camouflage smells. “Antiperspirants” contain aluminum which combats wetness. Aluminum is a very effective agent in this regard.

  1. My mothers oncologist said to stop using aluminum based deodorant after her mastectomy. This was at Dana Farber. Was that a lie? Old science?

    1. well not everyone gets mastectomies do they… so your point doesn’t even make sense… it’s just a safety measure.. like fasting before getting blood work

    2. My friend also got a big bump that was stage one cancer on her arm pit they said it was the aluminum deodorants, so she was advised never to use them again. Everybody reacts differently to substances, so yes, to be safe because cancer rubs close to me, I stay away from it to.

    1. I tried every natural one I could find, but they don’t work for me… I am not afraid of aluminium but my skin is very sensitive so I need some sensitive deodorant. I tried vichy roll-on with blue cap and it’s the best. Just saying if you are maybe looking for better protection because I know that natural ones don’t do their job for everyone.🙈

    1. I feel you, i spend YEARS trying different deodorants and the only one that works for me is vichy roll-on with blue cap. It doesn’t have any smell but it works it’s job.

    2. @26Sundrops i have tried several affordable anti-perspirant deodorant in my country but none of them works for me. I’m afraid if I try the expensive one turns out the same 🥲
But thank you for the recomendation ☺

    3. @Aulia Alyda Yes it is anti-perspirant. Where I am from it is about 10 euros. Idk i tried every one I could find and this one is the only one that doesn’t smell weird on me.

  2. However…. antiperspirants clog up the armpits of my clothes…. so I started using Lume… along with glycolic acid. Dealing with bacteria instead of masking it… also antiperspirants never worked for me…ever.

    1. no they don’t if u use benzoyl peroxide wash in the show it gets rid of the bacteria so ur not stinky. then use a fragrance free clear gel deodorant to actually stop the sweat and smell and it works like a charm it won’t clog anything

    2. @k yes, ANTIPERSPIRANTS, like the ones she’s referencing in her short, those with aluminum absolutely do clog my clothing. Like I said, I have a system that works for me. Gylcolic acid deals with the bacteria as does the Lume. Deodorant does nothing for sweat, antiperspirants are designed to prevent sweat but they don’t work for me… never have…

  3. I use a liquid antiperspirant that literally clogs my sweat glands for like 3 days. Is it magic, no its aluminum.

    1. Haha yes!!! I’ve never believed in going “aluminum free” natural deodorant burns my skin to the point of it being red and..I smell too 🤷‍♀️lol

  4. I am so done with humanity. Skin care is more like a religion than a science at this point. People just aren’t trying to hear it

  5. I rather avoid aluminum it doesn’t leave your body and causes memory loss I also stopped using aluminum foil !

  6. now if only i could get things like fluoridated toothpaste and effective antiperspirant in plastic-free packaging. these companies think that people who care about sustainability are also the same people who heal their gingivitis with crystals.
