Happy Monday!
You have turned me into the SPF preacher 😅 I used to bite my tongue whenever a client or a friend would talk about tanning but I just can’t anymore. I love educating people on how amazing Korean SPFs are. I’ve even had a client who is a international flight attendant bring me back some beauty of Joeson and skin 1004 and I have to say I was way too excited to have something bought from an actual Olive Young in South Korea 😂 thanks for always being a well of wisdom for us all ❤
I’m liking the derms doing these types of videos.
Greetings d b hope u r well n Happy Monday😀👍💐🎉!!!….
Hi, Dr. Dray! I’ve been feeling pretty hopeless since I can’t afford to go to medical school and I was thinking of abandoning my dream of becoming a dermatologist like you, but this video really reeled me back in. It might take me a while to figure out how to go about this, but I know if there’s a will, there’s a way. Thank you so much for being such a huge inspiration to me!
If you qualify for military that would make it affordable, of course you have to agree to serve after you finish medical school.
@@julieescher1574thank you for the suggestion! ❤
Another option to work in dermatology (outside of going to medical school) is to become a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. Both require a bachelor’s degree followed by a master’s. Not as well compensated as a physician, but allows you to work in the field if that’s your passion. 😊
Yo can go to Granada or St Marteen then take the exams or test in USA.
An excellent, informative and encouraging video! Thanks Dr.Dray!
This was such an interesting video! Thank you!
I was burnt by laser. 15 years on i still have the burn scar. It waa to remove an age spot. She went over the area with the laser too many times. I would rather have the age spot rather than the burn mark.
I am not gonna lie, I sometimes have to choose between washing my face or staying asleep! I seldom have on more than mascara and eyeliner but I hear Dr. Dray in my head and so I take it off with micellar water in the dark and moisturize and go to bed. Thank you for all you do.
Dr. Dray, I have been watching your videos and following you on all platforms since 2019. I am a redhead with stage 2b melanoma diagnosed at age 24. I did have multiple blistering sunburns as a child. But if it wasnt for you, I wouldn’t know anything in terms of skincare and protecting my skin not only with ENOUGH SPF but other sun protective behaviors. I see an melanoma specialist/oncologist at MSK in NYC and I am currently NED. But the whole sun protection education and no tanning really resonates with me because I have a big dent and scar on my arm where the melanoma was (amelanotic also which is scary since it could’ve been caught even later and I would have had a poorer prognosis). You have taught me the importance of getting my skin checks and my skin has never looked better since taking your advice. You are AMAZING!! Thank you for all you do. ❤❤❤
SMH I’m sorry! My mom was neglectful in ways but she was always super meticulous in reapplying my sunscreen as a child bc my dad had melonoma as a kid, but my dad used to be a redhead so its easier with past knowledge like that. I’m lucky im not more freckly than I am lol
Matcha and Dr. Dray on a Monday afternoon! I have bought and used up so many of the products you recommend Dr. Dray and I appreciate all your teachings/opinions/etc. Have a great day!
What a GREAT video! Thank you!
Thank you for this information, Dr. Dray. As a side note, I really enjoyed you sharing your residency experience and bit of your education background 🖤🖤🖤
Such a powerful video! You got your messages through very effectively. Everyone should listen to this! I live near Dallas and when my northern friends come to visit they want to soak up the sun without any protection. They really don’t understand how strong the UV rays can be here! Same is true of ‘snowbirds’! I am glad that to mentioned about the difference in localities and altitudes! Not talked about enough! Great job!☀️
Snowbirds?
Dr Dray please please pleeease can you do a video on eyelid hygiene 🙏🏽
Yes!
Yes! I hope she does this.
One of your best PSA videos, Dr. Dray ❤🙏
Since finding your channel (I’ve been here from the beginning) I now 1) wear the right amount of sunscreen everyday 2) wear a denim shirt when I need a “sun shirt”, 3) wear hats, 4) keep a small tube of sunscreen in my purse to use on the backs of my hands, 5) moisturize before applying Tretinoin, 6) follow my skincare routine morning and evening CONSISTENTLY.
I was a competitive swimmer with lots of outdoor swimming as a kid, teenager and in my college years. I have had over 30 skin cancer spots removed. Listen to this message people because it’s expensive and exhausting to keep up with this skin issue. My dermatologist says I will keep her going due to the condition of my skin. She says most of this probably happened as a young person so train your children in covering up.
I’m sorry you’re going through that:-( as a Gen X er I think my generation really lost out on this message. As a teenager, I was always “laying out” to tan.
The last one… makes so much sense!
I have been watching your channel for a few years now. I’m a Black woman 61 and wear a spf 50 on repeat. I always get turned down when i ask for the senior discount and have to pull out my id. I preach to others thst melanin wont protect them from sun exposure. Thanks, Dr. Dray.❤😊
