    1. I have tried the Avene one. I like it but it’s pricey. I personally recommend the Absorica Retinaldehyde if you live in EU.

  1. What are the one vs two things our skin has to do to it? I find adding urea into my skincare regimen has made my skin so much softer.

    1. Retinoid acid is the bio active form that your skin actually uses. Tretinoin is actually retinoid acid, that’s why it’s prescription only in the USA.

Your skin has to convert retinaldehyde once into retinoid acid. Retinol is converted into retinaldehyde and again into retinoid acid. That’s why these two forms are gentler than tretinoin.

  2. I live in EU and Absorica Retinaldehyde is my fave vitamin a product. It’s formulated by a pharmaceutical company in Belgium and the price is much lower than Avene.

    1. Avene has a retinaldehyde line, along with Beauty of Joseon has the retinaldehyde eye serum, maelove has a retinaldehyde serum, also Naturium just came out not too long ago with a retinaldehyde. That’s all I can think of off the top of my head. If you’re in the EU areas Geek and Gorgeous has a very affordable line I’ve heard good things about but unfortunately for me it cost as much as the product to ship it so not worth it for me.

  3. Do you have a Sam’s Club, they have 2 of the big pump bottles of that Gold Bond Body Lotion selling in one pack for a good price!

  4. Thanks for the education on these two products! Your tutorials short and long, are always so useful! No matter how old you are, I’m 71, you are never too old to learn! Happy Saturday evening Dr Dray and everyone!✨🙏🏻✨🥰✨

  6. The product in your hand has changed my skin for the better. I have never used a retinol but I really like a retinaldehyde thanks for the great advice
