    1. Exactly! I have very oily skin, mild acne and blackheads. But if I used all of these products at once my skin would be super red and irritated. People with oily skin and acne sometimes think they don’t need to use a moisturizer, but not using one only makes more oil and inflammation(acne).

    3. i agree but i thought maybe because my skin is super duper oily and gross maybe it won’t dry out bcz it’s always moist?

  1. I broke out from Panoxyl so I switched to CeraVe SA cleanser and follow up with CeraVe SA moisturizer. I am waiting for my other medical treatments to be regular before I try retinol products though. I have noticed the pores have become less noticable since using SA.

    1. It also broke me out I wanted to like it but it just made me brake out more. I will try the SA cleanser . Can I use the SA cleanser with a retional with it?

  2. I’m still in the purging face after switching from another retinol but yes! I use both of these and the Cereva moisturizer in the tub. I also have a leave on BHA (salicylic acid) which I use 2 times a week in the morning and on those nights I use a face mask instead of the Adapalene. Gosh… I hope this all settles before school starts in August. Hopefully~

    1. The Cerave moisturizer in the tub made me break out in comedonal acne, for a very long time i could not find the reason why im constantly breaking out- then i switched my moisturiser and started doing face peels and now my acne is gone :)

  3. I was prescribed Differen for my acne when I was a teen, it saved my face and the tube lasted FOREVER. I would put just a dab on pimples and so it lasted like 3 years.
Looking back now, I realize that it did make my face VERY smooth.

  4. Does anyone else feel like seeing Dr. Dray in her white coat just hits different. 😍😍😍😍 Thank you so much for all your help!!

  5. Hi Dr Dray, can I use effaclar duo on the morning and adapalene in the evening?? Please help❤️💖

  6. Dr. Dray! I have a question I was hoping you could answer ☺️
Does Adapalene (Differin) cause acne for some? I know of the “purging stage” and also that it can be too irritating/drying for some people, but can it actually cause cystic breakouts on skin that “just doesn’t agree” with the product?

Thank you for your videos! ✌️❤️

    1. I broke our way too bad on it. Worst breakout of my life. Would not recommend if you have hormonal cystic acne prone skin

    1. Y’all talking like she doesn’t have millions of videos explaining how important it is to moisturize lol

    1. I literally use the 3 actives and at higher %, and have no dry skin. Just know how to gradually increase the use of each active as your skin reacts to them. So don’t star using this everyday for the first time.

    2. @smarty mandeep she never said to use all of them she gave options meaning you can use one of them, if you watch her videos you know she says to never use salicylic acid with differin gel!

    3. Idk I use a retinol at night and SA in the morning (all with moisturizer of course) my skin was only sensitive to the retinol at first but non of it bugs my skin now

  7. As a teenager back in the 70’s I used a product that had benzoyl peroxide and never had a single bump. I saw a doctor talking about it on the morning news and tried it. What a stroke of luck!!

    1. Maybe you were never prone to acne?! Sometimes is hormonal or other cause and no cremes help

  8. After the proper time following this routine, do you recommend professional extractions of the most stubborn ones wich can remain sunk for years? Thanks 🧛🏻‍♀️🖤

  9. I’ve found retinol to be completely useless for my blackheads. BP is my life saver, SA also helps a little.

  10. As a licensed Esthetician this is so many actives everyday without anything calming and moisturizing! Be nice to your skin 💜

  11. Would you recommend this routine for summer? I used retinoid in the winter, but I am a bit scared to apply it daily during summer season, despite using 50 SPF.
