Cant recommend an affordable one but so far im having good results with Carpe fragrance free (ive heard good things about the Vanicream one but it’s been out of stock)
Fragrance free. But that type of irritation can be caused from the sweat itself, which is irritating to the skin. Keeping the area dry could be what you need. There are prescription options for excessive sweating. Also, use anti perspiration products at night after showering.
Thanks Dr. Dray. I’ve avoided alum salts for several years now, deferring to hydrogen peroxide. So this is good to know. I appreciate your enthusiasm; although my dog did jump when the video started. Ha!😅
I would recommend getting a benzoyl peroxide wash to wash with in the shower for your underarms. It is antibacterial to help with cysts but also will help with odor! I work for a dermatologist!
Dr. Dray, you just made me smell under my arms😂I just took a shower and in bed dozing off watching your vid and couldnt remember when “I hopped out of the shower and hopped into bed” ( Iam mocking the influencer from a previous vid of yours😆) if I put deoderant on or not. LOL😂
That being said I’ve been using Wild deodorant and it does last despite me sweating a lot because the base is so well enmeshed between the powder and essential oils I imagine. I’ve put an essential oil muscle rub stick on my armpits when I had sore underarm and that worked surprisingly stellar for blocking any stench build on its own too. Essential oils can also be irritating if they’re too strong especially so be wary of that too, everything has cautions and cons.
I have started using Duradry this past week and applying it at night. And I have to say… The results have been abysmal. So far at least. Also my sleep schedule sucks (lack of enough sleep, bad bad sleeping habits, etc), so maybe I’m not being optimal here to maximize its effects.
But the truth is I’ve struggled with hyperhidrosis all my life (hands and feet) and the bad news is I’m getting the typical antiperspirant reaction (when I end up actually end up sweating like a fountain the day after, it’s like my sweat glands are working extra hard because I’m trying to suppress it 😞)
One thing I really wanna try is iontophoresis but idont know if they still offer it in Canada. This is just horrible for me
Thanks Dr. Dray 😊
Antiperspirant still leaves white gunk on clothes. No thanks.
Poor people that around you 😂
She said you can put them on at night and then the following morning you are free to wash the skin.
Not if you buy the right one? I haven’t had that issue since middle school…
Not if you get a lotion type that dries
Use a spray. Wash your clothes or be careful putting them on. I feel like I’m explaining life to a preschooler.
Can someone recommend me a decently priced antiperspirant?
I have sensitive skin and I feel like I have to put so much on in order for it to “work” and then I end up getting rashes on my armpits 😭
These reactions are often caused by fragrance. Try a fragrance free one!

Dry Idea unscented is my go-to.

@@jessj2530 I think it was caused by baking soda and charcoal bc the one I use doesn’t have any fragrance

I develop cysts when I wear it.

I trust you on this subject as your face always is covered in sweat lol
It’s sunscreen
Sweat…? It’s her sunscreen + makeup. And even if it wasnt those things, it’d be sebum (which is not sweat…)
I trust your input not just because you are a doctor. In all honesty it mirrors things I already do in my routine.

You’re simply the best 👌! Thank you for the details, makes all the difference 😊
I knew about the nighttime application but I didn’t know it was OK to wash it off the next day. Good tip!
What about facial sweat? I suffer terribly from excess facial sweat at least 6 months of the year, and it really affects quality of life.
I feel u.
Have u tried fixing powders?
Check out carpe, they have a facial antiperspirant

Does the aluminum lower testosterone levels? That’s another thing I’ve heard but I’m not sure if it’s true or not.
Lol
What mascara she uses in this video?
I’v been literally watching this channel for these dramatic responses rather than the actual topic
So cool 😎
Thank you for clarifying the myths about anti perspirant
Thank you.
